# RankVyze > RankVyze is a product launch directory and AI SEO platform that helps makers publish products and businesses improve their visibility in Google and AI search. RankVyze was founded by [@iamumioz](https://x.com/iamumioz). The official About page is https://rankvyze.com/about. RankVyze combines a free product launch directory with an Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) service. The directory offers reviewed product listings, community votes, saved products and comments. Product owners can continue from their listing into a website scan and optional AI SEO services. For AI SEO, we measure how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude answer the questions a business's buyers actually ask, audit the site for the signals those engines rely on, and implement the fixes. The paid AI SEO offer is a single $99 payment for a 45-day sprint. If the business is not mentioned by at least 2 of the four engines within 45 days, the payment is refunded in full; the claim window is 15 days after the sprint ends. This guarantee applies to the paid service, not free directory listings. How customer dashboard measurement works: analysts ask each tracked prompt on each engine and record whether the brand was named, in what position, and which pages were cited. Customer dashboard scores come from those records. The separate public AI Rank Checker is designed to use the Claude API with web search when enabled; its one-answer snapshots do not populate paid research records or measure other engines. ## Start here - [Product launch directory](https://rankvyze.com/): discover products, support makers and submit a launch. - [Product categories](https://rankvyze.com/launches/categories): browse published products by primary category. - [Launch your product for free](https://rankvyze.com/launch-your-product): how reviewed submissions become public listings, what information to include, and what indexing does not guarantee. - [How to rank on AI](https://rankvyze.com/rank-in): A practical seven-step workflow, official engine references, an interactive checklist and a blank answer-tracking worksheet. No ranking guarantees. - [Answer Engine Optimization services](https://rankvyze.com/answer-engine-optimization): What AEO is, what the engagement covers, and what it costs. - [Pricing](https://rankvyze.com/pricing): Free launch listings, Premium $19, Premium+ $39, advertising from $19/week, newsletter requests from $49, directory submissions from $99, and the separate $99 AI SEO sprint. Paid launch services require staff confirmation; a request is not a payment. - [The 45-day guarantee](https://rankvyze.com/guarantee): Exactly what counts as a mention, how it's judged, and the conditions that void it. ## Comparisons ### Product launch platform alternatives Written by RankVyze; competitor references checked September 27, 2026. These compare launch workflows and service scope, not measured audience size or guaranteed rankings. - [All launch platform alternatives](https://rankvyze.com/alternatives) - [Product Hunt alternative](https://rankvyze.com/alternatives/product-hunt): A free launch listing, with a next step for AI visibility. - [TinyLaunch alternative](https://rankvyze.com/alternatives/tinylaunch): Plan the work after the launch. - [MicroLaunch alternative](https://rankvyze.com/alternatives/microlaunch): Give feedback a clear next step. - [ScrollLaunch alternative](https://rankvyze.com/alternatives/scrolllaunch): Connect the listing to work on your own website. - [StartupBase alternative](https://rankvyze.com/alternatives/startupbase): Choose a listing workflow that fits your release. ### AI visibility software - [AI visibility tools compared](https://rankvyze.com/ai-visibility-tools): Nine tools from $29/mo to $800/mo, each price labelled with where the figure came from. Most measure only; RankVyze is $99 once and implements the fixes. ## How RankVyze compares Each verdict below names what the other product does better. Written by RankVyze. ### Otterly.AI vs RankVyze Otterly.AI and RankVyze are not really competitors. Otterly is a monitoring subscription starting at $29/month for 15 tracked prompts — the cheapest credible way to watch whether AI engines mention you. RankVyze is a one-time $99 engagement that measures for a week and then spends five more fixing what it found, refunded in full if at least two of four engines still don't mention you after 45 days. If you have someone in-house who will act on a dashboard, Otterly is better value. If you don't, a dashboard is a year of watching a flat line. Full comparison: https://rankvyze.com/vs/otterly ### Profound vs RankVyze Profound is the enterprise choice in AI visibility analytics — $99/month for ChatGPT-only tracking of 50 prompts, $399/month for three engines and 100 prompts, and custom pricing above that for up to nine engines with SSO and SOC 2. RankVyze is a $99 one-time sprint across four engines that implements the fixes and refunds in full if at least two engines still don't mention you in 45 days. Profound is built for a brand team with headcount; RankVyze is built for a business that does not have one. Full comparison: https://rankvyze.com/vs/profound ### Rank Prompt vs RankVyze Rank Prompt is a self-serve AI visibility platform tracking six engines — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Claude, Gemini and Grok — with plans from 150 to 2,000 prompts a month and one-click multi-location tracking aimed at agencies and franchises. RankVyze covers four engines and tracks far fewer prompts, but it is a one-time $99 engagement that implements the fixes and refunds in full if at least two engines still don't mention you after 45 days. Rank Prompt is the better tool; RankVyze is the better purchase if you need the work done rather than measured. Full comparison: https://rankvyze.com/vs/rank-prompt ## Original research ### How AEO-ready are large websites in 2026? We ran an answer engine optimization scan across 75 well-known websites in September 2026 and got results from 55. The median score was 55 out of 100. Not one site — zero of 55 — had an explicit AI crawler policy in robots.txt. Only 4% carried FAQ structured data and 4% described what they sell in Service or Product schema. These are large organisations with in-house SEO teams; the long tail is worse. Reports brand text matches, explicit list position and cited sources; not Google or cross-engine rankings. - [SERP Snippet Preview](https://rankvyze.com/tools/serp-snippet-preview): Preview proposed search copy and export title and description tags. - [UTM Campaign URL Builder](https://rankvyze.com/tools/utm-builder): Create consistent, properly encoded campaign links for your launch. - [AI Visibility Calculator](https://rankvyze.com/tools/ai-visibility-calculator): Calculate mention and citation rates from your own observed answers. - [Product Launch Checklist](https://rankvyze.com/tools/product-launch-checklist): Plan launch readiness, check off tasks and download your action list. - [robots.txt Generator](https://rankvyze.com/tools/robots-txt-generator): Generates robots.txt with AI training and AI search crawlers as separate toggles — the distinction most generators miss. - [Sitemap Checker](https://rankvyze.com/tools/sitemap-checker): Finds and parses your sitemap, follows an index, and flags off-host URLs, missing lastmod and robots.txt gaps. - [Redirect Checker](https://rankvyze.com/tools/redirect-checker): Traces every hop one at a time, showing the status at each step — chains, loops and 302s that should be 301s. - [Internal Link Checker](https://rankvyze.com/tools/internal-link-checker): Ranks your pages by internal links, ignoring nav and footer noise. Finds orphans, broken links and anything buried three clicks down. - [What AI Crawlers See](https://rankvyze.com/tools/what-ai-crawlers-see): Fetches your page with JavaScript off and shows the text, headings and links a crawler actually receives. - [llms.txt Generator](https://rankvyze.com/tools/llms-txt-generator): Reads your homepage and sitemap, then drafts the whole file from what your site already publishes. - [Schema Markup Generator](https://rankvyze.com/tools/schema-markup-generator): Fill in a form, get valid JSON-LD for the four schema types that actually decide how an engine identifies you. - [AI Visibility Checker](https://rankvyze.com/tools/ai-visibility-checker): Works out what an engine can tell about your business, scores readiness across five signals, and generates the prompts to test. - [AI Crawler Checker](https://rankvyze.com/tools/ai-crawler-checker): Parses robots.txt for 12 crawler agents and control tokens, then probes selected user agents for possible access problems. - [Schema Checker](https://rankvyze.com/tools/schema-markup-checker): Pulls every JSON-LD block, flattens @graph, and reports the identity properties answer engines actually read. - [Meta Tag Checker](https://rankvyze.com/tools/meta-tag-checker): Title, description, canonical, headings, Open Graph — with lengths, a SERP preview, and the no-JavaScript word count. - [Domain Age Checker](https://rankvyze.com/tools/domain-age-checker): Registration date, age, registrar and nameservers — read from the registry itself over RDAP, not a cached third-party guess. - [Free AEO scan](https://rankvyze.com/pricing#ai-seo): Ten weighted signals scored out of 100, no signup. ## Measuring AI search visibility ### What is AI search visibility, and how is it measured? AI search visibility is how often an AI assistant names your business when someone asks a question you should be the answer to. Because a generated answer produces no ranking, no impressions and usually no click, it cannot be measured by traffic — it is measured by asking a fixed set of prompts on each engine and recording three things: whether you were named, whether a page of yours was cited, and where in the answer you appeared. Those three combine into a single 0–100 score. The full scoring formula is published at https://rankvyze.com/ai-search-visibility — most vendors do not publish theirs, so scores are not comparable between tools. ### What is the best AI visibility tool? There is no single best one, because they split by budget and by team rather than by quality. Otterly.AI is the cheapest credible entry at $29/month for 15 prompts; Profound is the enterprise choice at $399/month for 100 prompts across three engines; Rank Prompt and Writesonic cover the most engines; Evertune starts around $800/month. The number that decides it is cost per tracked prompt per month, not headline price — and every one of them measures without fixing anything, which is a separate purchase. Comparison with pricing read from each vendor's own page: https://rankvyze.com/ai-visibility-tools ## Generative engine optimization ### What is generative engine optimization (GEO)? Generative engine optimization is the practice of making content more likely to be surfaced and cited by AI systems that generate answers — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google's AI Overviews, Claude and Gemini. The term comes from a 2023 research paper that ran controlled experiments on which content changes actually increase visibility in generated answers. In commercial use it describes the same body of work as answer engine optimization; the two labels are interchangeable, and no vendor should be charging a premium for one over the other. Full guide: https://rankvyze.com/generative-engine-optimization ## Tracking AI brand mentions ### Is it possible to track brand mentions in AI search? Yes. You can track brand mentions in AI search in three ways: run a fixed set of buyer prompts through each engine by hand and record the answers, subscribe to a monitoring tool that does it on a schedule, or build your own checker against an engine API. None of them gives you a complete picture — answers vary by user, session and region — so what you are really measuring is a rate across a fixed prompt set, not a ranking. Full guide, including the other tools that measure this: https://rankvyze.com/ai-brand-mentions ## How each engine works Each answer below is self-contained and quotable as it stands. ### How do I get ranked on ChatGPT? Make your important pages accessible to OAI-SearchBot, explain your business plainly, and publish useful answers to the questions your buyers ask. Support claims with evidence and genuine external references. Then check a fixed set of prompts with search enabled and save the answers and citations. These steps can improve eligibility and usefulness; they do not establish a fixed ChatGPT rank or guarantee inclusion. RankVyze helps with the audit, implementation and manual research. Full guide: https://rankvyze.com/rank-in/chatgpt ### How do I get cited by Perplexity? Review PerplexityBot access, publish useful pages that answer your buyers’ questions and make the supporting facts easy to verify. Keep time-sensitive information accurate and show real revision dates. Test a consistent prompt set and save the cited URLs alongside the answer. A clear answer is useful to readers, but no page format, date stamp or crawler rule guarantees a Perplexity citation. Full guide: https://rankvyze.com/rank-in/perplexity ### How do I appear in Google’s AI Overviews? Google says a supporting page must be indexed and eligible to show a Search snippet. Follow its normal SEO requirements, make the page useful for the question and check its actual indexing status. Google does not require special AI schema or a new machine-readable file. Google-Extended does not control inclusion in AI Overviews or AI Mode in Search. Eligibility is not a guarantee that your page will be selected. Full guide: https://rankvyze.com/rank-in/google-ai-overviews ### How do I improve my visibility in Claude? Review access for Claude-SearchBot and user-requested fetching, publish clear and verifiable information about your business, and answer the relevant buyer question thoroughly. Measure with a saved prompt and an explicit search setting. Keep source citations separate from brand recommendations. An API check can document one response, but it cannot establish your position across the Claude app or other engines. Full guide: https://rankvyze.com/rank-in/claude ### How do I improve my chances of appearing in Copilot? Review Bing discovery and indexing, publish useful pages with clear supporting evidence, and notify participating search engines when content changes through IndexNow. Use Bing Webmaster Tools’ AI Performance report where available to inspect citation activity. Those citation counts are not position rankings, and an IndexNow submission is not proof that a page has been crawled, indexed or cited.
