Google AI Overviews readiness

Google AI Overviews readiness starts with the same foundations as search: a page that Google can access, index, and use in a search snippet. Google's documentation says there is no additional special schema or AI-only file required for these features. A useful technical review therefore checks actual indexing constraints rather than adding unsupported markup.

Structured data should accurately describe information visible to a reader. A sitemap is a discovery signal, not a guarantee that Google will index the URL or select it for an AI Overview.

Content improvements should answer a real customer question and make the evidence easy to follow. State what the product does, who it helps, and what limitations matter. Use source links and clear dates where facts can change. Measure search performance with Google's reporting and keep technical readiness separate from actual impressions, clicks, or citations.
