Build campaign links you can measure

Create tagged links for product directories, newsletters and launch campaigns. Keep existing URL parameters and fragments, then copy or download your campaign URL.

Campaign URL

Existing non-UTM parameters and fragments are preserved. These five UTM fields replace their existing values. Values stay case-sensitive. Never put personal information in campaign tags.

How to use the utm campaign url builder

  1. Set a stable destination

Enter a full HTTP or HTTPS URL. Existing destination parameters and any section fragment remain in the generated link.

  2. Define a naming convention

Use the source for the referring platform, medium for the distribution channel and campaign for the launch initiative. Keep spelling and capitalization consistent.

  3. Test the generated link

Copy the URL, open it and verify that any redirects preserve the campaign parameters. Confirm the visit appears in your own analytics before distributing the link.

One campaign, several placements

A launch can use one campaign name across a directory, newsletter and social post. Vary the source and medium to describe each channel. Use content to distinguish two placements within the same source, such as a profile button and newsletter banner. Decide these names before posting so the report is easy to read later.

Understand what a tagged visit proves

A campaign URL helps attribute a visit when your analytics system receives and processes the parameters. It does not count impressions, prove incremental sales, or identify everyone who saw the listing. Consent choices, blocked scripts and sharing of tagged URLs can affect your report. Review activated users and qualified enquiries alongside visits.

Questions about this tool

Does this tool track visitors?
No. It builds a URL locally. You need a working analytics setup on the destination site to collect and report visits.
What happens to existing UTM tags?
The source, medium, campaign, content and term tags are replaced by the fields above. An empty optional content or term field removes that existing tag. Other query parameters and the fragment remain.
Should I tag links inside my own website?
Use campaign tags for external distribution. For internal navigation, track events or link placements through your analytics setup instead of mixing internal clicks with acquisition campaigns.
Can I include customer details?
Do not put personal information, passwords or private identifiers in these fields. URL parameters can appear in browser history, server logs and analytics reports.
