Two tools we haven’t built, on purpose

Both get asked for constantly. Neither can be done honestly without paying for someone else’s index, and a checker that returns numbers we invented would be worse than not having one.

Backlink checker: Backlink data only exists inside commercial crawls — Ahrefs, Majestic, Moz, Semrush, DataForSEO. There is no free source with meaningful coverage, and a checker returning numbers we made up would be worse than not having one.
Domain Rating checker: Domain Rating is Ahrefs' proprietary metric, computed from their own link index. It cannot be calculated independently. The same goes for Moz's Domain Authority and Semrush's Authority Score — each is a private number owned by the company that publishes it.
