Compare brand presence across AI answers

Create a repeatable evidence set for brand mentions and citations across AI answers, with failed checks, third-party sources, and platform differences recorded separately.

This workflow is for founders and agencies who need to know what an AI answer actually says about a brand. Start with a short set of buyer questions: a category recommendation, a feature question, and a comparison a customer might ask. Keep the questions stable enough to rerun and record the platform, date, and relevant settings for each observation.

RankVyze's paid research workflow can investigate ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude manually. The free checker provides a narrower starting point using Claude API web search. Choose the method that matches the question and label it clearly. Combining unlike methods under one unexplained score makes a report difficult to trust.

For every successful answer, record whether the brand is mentioned, whether your own domain is cited, and which third-party sources appear. Keep failed requests outside the denominator used to summarize observed answers. A citation count does not establish that a buyer visited the website; referral sessions require a separate analytics observation.

Compare the source pages as well as the brands. An unclear product page, outdated feature claim, or missing comparison may suggest a concrete improvement. Change one useful thing, retain the earlier evidence, and repeat the same prompt set. Report the observed change with its limitations rather than presenting a small sample as a universal AI ranking.

Frequently asked questions

Which platforms does the free checker query?

It queries Claude API with web search only.

Can I turn a few answers into a market share score?

A small prompt sample describes that sample. It is not a complete measure of the platform or market.
